ABOUT US

"Isa sa pinakamasasarap at siguradong ligtas kainin ay ang karne ng native na baboy." — Ian B. Carbiga

Who is PNPONAI?

We are a non stock, non profit organization, formed to help the Philippine Native Pig raisers reach their full potentials.  We are Philippine Native Pig Owners Network Association, Inc., committed to develop the Philippine Native Pig industry.  Established year 2015, with a total of 5 members.  In 2016 it grew to 60 members.

We give FREE seminars, we help our members through market sourcing, and we buy most of the member's stocks.  This group has been established to organize more raisers and help them develop products of their own using their native pigs.  God willing this 2018, we hope to reach 150 members at year end.

Currently, our officers are Ian B. Carbiga - PRESIDENT, Ariel Becina - VICE PRESIDENT (abroad), Dr. Noel Gutierrez - CORP. SEC., Lorenzo Alcantara III - Treasurer, and Salvador Tan - PRO (resigned).

WHAT WE EAT!

"If you eat healthy, safe, and nutritious food,  tendency you will stay healthy too!" - This is what most people say about eating organic or naturally produced food nowadays!  Know your farmer, know your food!

HOUSING MANAGEMENT

There are factors to consider in choosing your location or site.  First you need to know is it accessibility, 2nd is permits and zoning, and 3rd basic services like water and electricity.

FEED AND NUTRITION

Generally, the upkeep of native pigs are low to no input to most raisers. They tend to minimize expenses thereby compromising the quality of native pigs they produce.

MARKET VIABILITY

Lechon is the basic product of the native pigs and they are highly sought after by lechoneros. As the demand rises, so does the blatant disregard for proper breeding of our native pigs.
